ABOUT ME


Joanne Dennis is a 500+advanced certified and registered yoga instructor. She began practicing yoga in 2000 but it wasn’t until 2017 that she felt ready to take on the role of teacher. She completed her 500-hour advanced certification at Laughing River Yoga in Burlington VT under the guidance of Emily Garrett. Joanne also has over 100-hours of training in various styles of Restorative Yoga, has completed her Accessible Yoga instructor certification with Jivana Heyman, is a Level 1 Certified Pranayama instructor with the Yoga Education Collective and is currently working towards becoming a Yoga Therapist under the guidance of Brandt Passalacqua at Breathing Deeply School of Yoga Therapy.

Joanne is passionate about offering opportunities for people of all shapes, sizes, ages and backgrounds to explore, understand and experience the benefits of yoga. She focuses her studies on the physiological and neurological benefits of incorporating yogic practices into all stages and circumstances of our lives. Her teaching style emphasizes building expanded awareness around the body, mind and breath as a means of cultivating a more balanced and informed way of living and practicing yoga.
